Mathematic Models

Compilation of the Humboldt-Universiy of Berlin

The compilation of mathematic models
The compilation of mathematic models at the Humboldt-University in Berlin was established after World War II at the Department of Mathematics. The majority of these models were produced by the company Rudolf Stoll in Berlin within the 1950s and 1960s. A few pieces of the collection were donated by professors and research assistants.

The compilation covers a wide range of mathematic fields such as analysis, differential geometry, topology, elementary geometry and functional analysis. Nowadays it consists of approximatelly 120 models, a part of which is displayed in glass cabinets within the Institute for Mathematics, Rudower Chaussee 25. The collection is expanded by models made by students within their didactics education.
